Spiders Web

This morning my daughter Dots and I had breakfast on her back porch. As I looked around I notice a spider web and how that spider had caught quit a few insects. There was a butterfly, some bumble bees and other small insects.

My mind took me back a few years ago when I was showing off my garden to my daughter-in-law. How beautiful and flourishing my garden was that year. As I looked down I saw a spider web. I watched the spider spin a weave around a bee. First it found a bee caught in its web. The bee struggled and struggled and soon grew tired. Then that spider spun its web completely around the bee. It looked like an Egyptian mummy when the spider finished. I could hardly tell that it was a bee when the spider finished.

When we permit Satan to weave his web around our minds, our thoughts, and our walk with the Lord we stop thinking for ourselves. We become so tightly woven that we can't even allow Gods Spirit to move in our hearts. Beloved remember religion will spin us in until we can not think for ourselves.  Satan uses religion to weave us into manmade traditions and manmade laws.

The Bible tells us to:

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.  I Peter 5:8  (NKJV)
