How God protected my Garden

Looking back on the yesteryears I remembered how God saved my garden from grasshoppers. I had a large garden in the summer of 1983. That year the grasshoppers moved in by the cloud full. I went out and prayed over my garden with a prayer of faith and believed in my heart that God heard my prayer and would protect my garden.

The grass around the outside of my garden was at least 4 feet high. It was full and thick with grasshoppers waving back and forth in the wind. I spoke to them and told them; "you will not enter into my garden and eat my vegetables in the Name of Jesus."

One of our neighbors helped Joe in the shop for a couple days. As he was leaving to go home he noticed that I was working in my garden. He came over to see what the grasshoppers had done. He told me that before dawn he heard chop, chop, chop from his window. When he checked in the morning all his tomatoes were mowed down by the grasshoppers. He stood amazed as he looked around at my garden. Through the grapevine I heard that he went and talked about it in the bars. He was so amazed that the grasshoppers did not even touch my yard.

A week later some friends from Billings came to visit and I showed them my garden and to this day my friend still talks about the wonder that she saw that day. I take no credit. All credit goes to my Lord and savior.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. James 1:5-8 (NKJV)
