I’m so excited about something Jesus showed me in worship service a few months back. I found myself lost in the presence of Jesus; unaware of anyone in the room. I saw a vision of a young lady with long hair and a long flowing dress running through a field of flowers. The wind was blowing ever so slightly. Her hair and her dress blew in the gentle breeze.
She bent down and picked a flower. I watched her as she plucked the flower petals one by one. As she pulled the first petals she said, “He loves me”. She pulled another and she said, “He loves me not”. She continued until she came to the very last petal, hoping upon hope that she could say again, “He Loves Me”.
Then Jesus walked into the field. He walked up to her and picked another flower. He began to pluck the petals too. As Jesus pulled the first petal he said, “He Loves Me”. Then he pulled the next petal and said, “He loves me”. Jesus continued in the same way until he pulled the last petal and he said again, “He loves me”. He looked at the young lady’s face with love in his eyes. His love continues, it never changes. His love for us does not depend on chance. Jesus always loves me. Jesus always loves you.
We don’t have to worry whether Jesus still loves us. His love never changes. He loves us through the good, the bad, and yes the ugly.
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39
