Day Light Savings time is upon us again. Isn't it interesting how the darkness surprises us each year? I looked out the window today at 4:30 in the afternoon and it's already dark. During this time of the year I really appreciate good lighting. I'm not fond of the way new home lighting is installed these days. Why don't they put the light in the center of the room anymore? There is something warming about a ceiling light that shines from the center of a room into every corner.
I bring this up because Christian Lighting has been weighing heavy on my heart lately. The Lord keeps impressing on my heart a need to let our lights shine from the center of our lives. We need to put our Christian Lighting in the middle of our lives. These verses have poured over my heart the last few weeks.
Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” John 8:12 (NKJV)
That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world. John 1:9 (NKJV)
Is your light standing in the corner of your life? Are you waiting for someone to "Clap you On?" Or is your light hidden beneath a pretty shade that helps you blend in with the rest of the world?
It is my desire to let my light shine from the center of my life every day. I want to walk in love and not condemnation. I choose to pray for people and not discuss their failures. I am a walking light bulb for Jesus. I pray Jesus, please shine from me.
